How to Migrate Files from Amazon S3 to SharePoint

Migration Prerequisites:

  • A CloudFuze account with a paid subscription (free trial available)
  • Amazon login credentials
  • SharePoint login credentials

Step 1: Log in to the CloudFuze Web app

Go to webapp.cloudfuze.com and create your account. You can use your email or a social account (Google, Office 365) account to create the account. If you already have an account, enter your login credentials and sign in.

Step 2: Click on the Amazon S3

Locate the Amazon S3 logo listed under the personal clouds section and click on it.

Step 3: Enter Amazon S3 Login Details

Enter your Amazon S3 login details in the popup and click on the Add button.

Step 4: Verify Whether Amazon S3 Added Properly

Click on the Clouds logo in the left-side menu and then click on the Manage Clouds tab. You should now see the Amazon S3 cloud being added here.

Step 5: Now, Click on the SharePoint Online Logo

Locate the SharePoint Online logo from the personal clouds list and click on it.

Step 6: Enter SharePoint Online Login Details

Enter the login details of your SharePoint Online account and click on the Next button.

Step 7: SharePoint Online Account Has Been Added

Head to the Manage Clouds section once again to check if SharePoint Online is added successfully. By this time, you should be able to see Amazon S3 and SharePoint Online added

Step 8: Choose Source and Destination Clouds

Select AmazonS3 as a source and SharePoint as a destination.

Step 9: Select Files or Folders to be Migrated

CloudFuze allows you to migrate a few selected files/folders or the entire content in the root. Choose based on your migration needs.

Step 10: Confirm the Migration

Preview the migration settings and click on the Confirm Migration button once everything’s intact.

Step 11: Migration Is in Progress

This status indicates that the Amazon S3 to SharePoint Online migration has been started and is in progress.

Step 12: Migration Has Been Completed

When the status becomes processed, it means that the migration between Amazon S3 and SharePoint has been completed successfully.
